RAY LUZIER of KORN
Ddrum is proud to have Ray Luzier as our Collective
of Acoustic Drum Artists. Ray studied at Musician's Institute's PIT
program; where he remained as a staff instructor for 9 years. His
flawless technique and precise playing landed him the drum chair with
David Lee Roth for a record 8 years before joining forces with STP's
DeLeo Brothers to create Army of Anyone. Ray's best-selling
instructional DVD is based on the Rock Drumming curriculum he developed
for MI, and his status as a top clinician for Sabian Cymbals has seen
him perform around the world as a solo drumming artist.
A long-time denizen of the Hollywood drumming scene, Ray has played over
2500 live dates with everyone from cover bands to rock legends like
Billy Sheehan and Slash. His drumming has graced numerous scores for
television and film, and his drumming can be heard on over 75 different
CD releases by a menagerie of performers.
Now taking on drum duties for metal legends Korn, 2008 will see Ray
embarking on a world tour with Ddrum in tow. Ray will also be launching
Ddrum's US-based drum-clinic program, and will play a vital role in the
development of future educational and equipment advances with the Ddrum
team.
